The Crush 2016
The Crush is an art show unlike others. You won’t find these pieces inside a sheltered gallery. Instead, artists gather in the RiNo Art District to take over lonely, dismal walls and transform them into works of art for everyone to enjoy throughout the year. Of the 75 artists participating, a whopping 55 are locals.
Throughout the week, 100 or so unique murals are painted in the area around the 2400 to 3400 blocks of Larimer Street. Crush founders Jonathan Lamb and Robin Munro, as well as Tracy Weil, the River North Art District co-founder and chair are behind this incredible event. Artists benefit from having an enormous canvas to display their skills while local businesses benefit from having new art on their storefronts, as well as tons of foot traffic from the fest.
Soapoint has been involved in the Denver art scene year after year and we’re always happy to help sponsor events like this one. Artists hold a special place in our hearts, as a lot of our team members and friends are them. This year, our donated vinyl installation highlighted the rest of the sponsors and took over a massive space between brilliant works of art. Check it out today or anytime throughout the year until Crush 2017!
